After several complaints about a pair of earbuds, Sony developers decided to finally pull the product off the market and re-introduce a new one. The MDR-EX500SL was developed to fit snug and comfortably into the human ear. The previous model was reported as being very uncomfortable to wear and could have also been a possible hazard to the ear. The new contoured shape allows it to go further into the ear, so the whole experience may sound much more realistic. Even though the headset brings better advantages, some have compared it to a cinnamon roll because of its strange shape.

Wow we can refocus iPhone’s camera!
These iPhone buffs are going on with their task of reinventing the product improvising it further than what Apple intended for its babe. Daniel Forsyth is one such iPhone enthusiast who has worked on refocusing the iPhone camera for sharp close-up shots. The process is pretty simple and involves breaking the glue that holds in the camera module that keeps the camera focused to infinity and rotating the lens counter-clockwise to bring the focus closer to the camera. Those who have modded their iPhone say that it has been worth all the effort.

Samsung Armani now has a Chinese clone
The Chinese have managed to outwit global cell phone makers once again. It is now Samsung’s Armani that now has a Chinese clone. The Armani clone, Armani GC629, signed with the name of the famous NBA star Chamberlain looks pretty close to the original Armani but whether it will be as efficient as the original we do not know given its low price tag. While the original Samsung Armani cost 650 euro, the clone costs only 121 euro. The phone has a golden body in a leather case with 2.7-inch display, MP3, 3-megapixel camera, with GSM/CDMA connectivity and Bluetooth.

HTC nabs Palm Treo Pro manufacturing contract?
HTC’s riding a tsunami-like wave of new Windows Mobile-based smartphones all the way to the bank. With more smartphones on market than we can keep track of (well, almost), HTC has risen to the top of their game in recent months. HTC is the powerhouse behind the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, they’ve got their own HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro to boast of, and they’re even on board as the premier Android-handset manufacturer with the HTC Dream G1. Now, we’re hearing that HTC has their hands all up in Palm’s business (not like that, come on now).
Orange fesses up to limiting iPhone 3G data speeds
There’s nothing worse than paying for high-speed 3G wireless data and then getting shafted with artificially-limited data speeds. iPhone 3G owners have been complaining of sluggish 3G data speeds, resulting in speculation that the iPhone 3G’s hardware or firmware were to blame. But, with Wired’s global iPhone 3G data speed survey suggesting that the network is likely to blame, and laboratory testing of the iPhone 3G’s antenna essentially absolving the iPhone of any hardware defects, it seems that slow 3G data speeds are rooted in the wireless network.
Klausner sues Verizon Wireless and LG over Visual Voicemail
Lawsuits over patented technologies are nothing new in the mobile industry. And, with frivolous lawsuits popping up left and right, it’s hard to keep a straight face whenever we hear of patent-holding firms suing industry big-wigs. Except this time, there’s some serious precedent in favor of the plaintiff.
