Cell Phone: Hitachi W51H with High-Res LCD
Another addition to the Japanese mobile phone market is the Hitachi W51H which, according to SlashPhone,boasts of Hitachi’s proprietary LCD technology called IPS instead of general TFT. The difference between them is that with the IPS “a horizontal electric field causes liquid crystal molecules to rotate in a plane parallel to the TFT substrate,” That certainly means nothing but a clearer and better screen resolution, improved color reproduction, wider viewing angle and faster gray to gray response time.
