The CECT iPhone clones have been a runaway success. Models such as the P168, the HiPhone i32, and the A380i have ensured that this manufacturer has become known as an innovative company who continuously rolls out new brisk selling replicas of popular phones.
Among the latest offerings is the S688. This one shows the company’s willingness to customize the phones based on unique consumer wants and needs. The 688 is single sim and does not have the shake and tilt control, but not everyone wants this in a phone.
The S model is sleeker and more stream lined. The manufacturer has added an e-book reader, an FM radio and 3.5 mm headphone output. But, perhaps best of all, the S model is probably the fastest, most responsive model to date. All of the clones are fast, so when I say the fastest, I am talking only milliseconds quicker, but I know some folks consider this very important.
Here is a quick list of specifications:
supports GSM tri-band network 900 / 1800 / 1900 (will generally work anywhere in the world);
slide unlock;
single sim card capability;
generally comes with a 256 MB memory card, but is expandable to 2GB;
3.2 inch WQVGA touch screen with 262K colors and 320×240 resolution;
SMS / MMS messaging;
GPRS and WAP web browser;
Bluetooth;
500 entry phone book;
vibrating alert and speaker phone;

video and audio playback;
MP3, AAC, WAV, AMR, and midi audio formats;
MP4 and 3GP video formats;
a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera in JPG, BMP, and GIF formats, with brightness and zoom adjust, as well as filters for different lighting conditions;
talk time: 4-5 hours;
standby time: 50-80 hours;
games: 1 built in and many more available for download;
very light weight at only 125g;
firmware upgradeable;
computer syncing, alarm, world time, calendar, and calculator;
stylus;

3.5 mm headphone output.
I have used this phone for a couple of weeks and I can’t find any major flaws. I find it very fast, intuitive and responsive. Like most of the clones, its speakers will blow out your ears.
Considering this one is usually priced under $175 with prices falling all the time, I suspect this one will also be very appealing to consumers.
