I call this phone the innovative little phone that could. I love this one because it’s so inexpensive, yet it has and improves on all of the technology made popular by the iPhone.

The CECT 599 mobile phone is one of the latest among the iPhone Clones from China. In my opinion, it’s sleek, small, modern design make it one of the best looking iClones out there.

The CECT 599 improves on the iPhone technology in a couple of ways. First, you don’t have to use AT&T. You can use whatever carrier you wish, which will likely save you over $100 per month. The 599 is always unlocked and automatically recognizes your information. No software is required. Second, you can remove the battery yourself, which is a huge advantage. With the iPhone, you have to take the phone to a dealer when the battery goes dead. Third, this phone has two sim cards, which is a huge advantage for you if you are now carrying around one phone for business and one phone for leisure or if for whatever reason you have two cell phone numbers. Finally, this phone has six really good speakers (unlike the iPhone’s three).

Additionally, this phone can do absolutely anything you need it to. You can surf the web, take and play video, play MP3s, take photos (it has a really nice camera phone). To me, the best feature of this phone is it’s “shake technology,” meaning you can change the songs or wallpaper by shaking the phone. You don’t have to scroll or fumble around. If you spend a lot of time listening to music on your phone, you will like this feature. It also has Bluetooth, a 3.2, high resolution screen and of course, the touch screen technology everyone is looking for.

Perhaps the best thing about this phone is it’s price. You can generally get it for under $130 dollars, sometimes for as little as $100. It’s wonderful for people who want all of new, innovative features of the new touch screen phones / PDAs, but who don’t want to wait for the prices to fall to try it out. It’s also great for kids and students whose parents don’t want to have a heavy heart when their kid loses a phone worth hundred of dollars.

The best way to fully appreciate the CECT 599 is to see video of it in action. You can click here to see video of the CECT 599 as well as see photos, specifications and pricing by visiting the CECT 599 Product Review Website.

The world of smart phones has changed. Today, consumers expect the most desirable phones to be touchscreen. This all started with the iPhone but as of this writing it has ended with the iclones - the phones which were originally meant to copy to the iPhone but which ended up added additional features to the iPhone that Apple apparently never thought of.

The A380i is no exception. Although this phone looks very much like the iPhone and has all of the features one would expect - a high resolution 3.0 inch touchscreen, a digital camera, Bluetooth, a video camera and player, and MP3 / MP4 players - it’s innovative improvements leave the iPhone in the dust.

For example, manufacturers of the A380i noticed that many customers were carrying around two cell phones, using one for work and one for personal life. In a light bulb moment, the designers decided to add another sim onto this phone. You can still use one sim if you don’t need this feature and you don’t need to turn the phone off for this feature to work.

Additionally, a removable battery has been added because one of the huge complaints with the iPhone is that you have to drag your phone to the dealer every time the battery dies. Who wants to be that dependant upon their phone’s manufacturer? Better, CECT has added three more speakers and surround sound. The stereo system on this phone will blow you away.

You do not need to be a hack if you don’t want to use AT&T’s expensive service. The 380i has slide unlock. Just swipe your hand and voila you can now use any carrier you chose. You don’t have to use AT&T.

The bonus feature which has gotten the most attention has to be the shake feature of the “shake technology” as the manufacturer likes to call it. If you want to change songs, wallpaper, video or photos, you don’t have to look down, press buttons or scroll. You just shake the phone to advance it. The A380 has expandable memory via micro SD card. The iPhone doesn’t.

This clone is already very competitively priced at about $150, sometimes lower. This is a steal considering you’re getting the most innovative phone on the market today and not being forced to go with AT&T.

The best way to evaluate the CECT A380i is by viewing video footage. Visit the CECT A380i Product Review Website by clicking here to see video demonstrations, close up photos, unique features, and comparison buyer information about the CECT A380i.
The iPhone undoubtedly started a technological revolution and began a love affair with touch screens on mobile phones. However, most people are not as in love with the iPhone’s price nor with the required high-priced AT&T contract that comes with an iPhone. With the IPhone you are forced to contract with AT&T for your wireless service. Very basic service is about $100 per month.

Enter China’s CECT P168 iClone. CECT has taken the technology of the iPhone and improved upon it - so much so that Popular Science magazine calls CECT the “real deal”.

The CECT P168 looks so much like the original iPhone you have to nearly squint to tell the difference. Plus, the CECT P168 offers all of the features of the iPhone plus bonus features. The P168 has three more speakers than the iPhone plus a removable battery. The P168 allows you to use whatever participating carrier you like (even your current provider). With an iPhone, you have the phone to an authorized dealer when the battery runs dead.

Further, the CECT P168 runs under $120 - sometimes as low as $100. This phone offers the features most people want - the touch screen, the ability to surf the web or watch videos, Bluetooth, and MP3 capabilities, without worrying about how to pay for all of it.

The iClone CECT P168 doesn’t require any software. The phone will automatically recognize your network, phone book, and personal settings.

With features on par with (and in some cases better) than the iPhone at only a fraction of the price, the CECT P168 may well be a great way to enjoy the latest technology while waiting both for prices on the iPhone to trickle down and for Apple to catch on and add some of the features that CECT is known for.

The new CECT P168 Quadband is getting a lot of buzz. But, the original P168 had almost a cult following. Consumers are a bit confused as to how the new quadband version differs from the original and wonder if it is worth it to chase the Quadband when the original is so popular and still works just great.

The basic difference between the Quadband and the original is that the new version is a quad band rather than a tri band. This means it is GSM GPRS 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and will work with any carrier worldwide. Tri band is very comprehensive and works with most networks, but the quadband removes any doubt whatsoever.

Additionally, the Quadband version added a webcam and surround sound. CECT has also upgraded the firmware and Bluetooth features with the new version. The upgrade that has perhaps received the most attention is the slide unlock feature. You can easily unlock the phone with a slide of your hand. (This is really only an issue though if for some reason you were buying an original CECT P168 that wasn’t unlocked. Most all of the CECTs available are already unlocked.)

The new quad band version has all of the popular and sought after features that the old version had. You are still allowed to use whichever carrier you wish and do not have to depend upon AT&T. Nor do you have to depend on the manufacturer to remove your battery. Both P168 versions have the removable batteries that the iPhone doesn’t. Both phones have touch screens, the ability to surf the web, download and listen to music, record and play video and two sim slots allowing you to basically have separate phone numbers for business and leisure. (Both phones will work with only one sim or number as well).

Surprisingly, the Quadband is not usually more expensive than the original. They are both priced very competitively and run about $130 or less. For the amount of features stuffed into these little phones, as well as the AT&T savings, both phones are head and shoulders above the iPhone.

There’s no doubt that the iPhone changed mobile phone technology. The finger touch interface was an easy sell. In today’s hurried world, consumers want and need a cell phone that is intuitive and user friendly. It can’t get any easier than manipulating data and photos with nothing but your fingers.

Plus, Apple put every gadget that you could ever need in one phone, including MP3 and MP4 players, a digital camera, and Bluetooth. What’s not to like?

Well, the price. The iPhone started out at about $500 for a very basic model, but the manufacturer also required consumers to go with AT&T’s very expensive service. A basic 1,000 minute plan (which I would go through in about a week) runs around $100 per month.

It was clear that an unlocked version of this phone would be an easy sell. Leave it to China to import exactly what consumers were looking for. The original iClone, the P168, is a huge success. So much so that Popular Science magazine called the clones the “real thing.”

Most people would agree that the P168 not only copied the original, it improved upon it greatly by adding bonus features that were clearly needed. The iPhone does not allow the battery to be removed or replaced when it goes dead. This keeps consumers dependent upon the manufacturer for basic maintenance that they could complete themselves. And, the slide unlock kept consumers free to get their wireless service wherever they wished.

The P168 not only included a removable battery, it added an additional sim slot, making the phone dual sim so that you can have two phone numbers or plans on one phone. This has been a huge selling factor for this phone because no longer do you have to lug around a spare phone for leisure or to receive separate calls from friends and family.

Also, the CECT P168 added additional surround sound speakers, bring the total to six. I would argue that the sound on the clone is much better than on the original. That’s good because the clone also has a built in FM radio, and when combined with the MP3, you’ll likely be listening to music quite a bit.

Sure, there are many different variations of iPhone clones on the market now. But, the P168 remains the best seller. It was the first and quite simply, it is the best and the interface is the most similar to that of the original.

But, the deal maker for this phone in my opinion is the price. Today, you can usually snag one for around of under $100.

The CECT iPhone clones have been a runaway success. Models such as the P168, the HiPhone i32, and the A380i have ensured that this manufacturer has become known as an innovative company who continuously rolls out new brisk selling replicas of popular phones.

Among the latest offerings is the S688. This one shows the company’s willingness to customize the phones based on unique consumer wants and needs. The 688 is single sim and does not have the shake and tilt control, but not everyone wants this in a phone.

The S model is sleeker and more stream lined. The manufacturer has added an e-book reader, an FM radio and 3.5 mm headphone output. But, perhaps best of all, the S model is probably the fastest, most responsive model to date. All of the clones are fast, so when I say the fastest, I am talking only milliseconds quicker, but I know some folks consider this very important.

Here is a quick list of specifications:

supports GSM tri-band network 900 / 1800 / 1900 (will generally work anywhere in the world);

slide unlock;

single sim card capability;

generally comes with a 256 MB memory card, but is expandable to 2GB;

3.2 inch WQVGA touch screen with 262K colors and 320×240 resolution;

SMS / MMS messaging;

GPRS and WAP web browser;

Bluetooth;

500 entry phone book;

vibrating alert and speaker phone;

caller ID, call history, speed dial, shortcuts, caller group, caller picture, caller video, ring tone, and sound mode;

video and audio playback;

MP3, AAC, WAV, AMR, and midi audio formats;

MP4 and 3GP video formats;

a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera in JPG, BMP, and GIF formats, with brightness and zoom adjust, as well as filters for different lighting conditions;

talk time: 4-5 hours;

standby time: 50-80 hours;

games: 1 built in and many more available for download;

very light weight at only 125g;

firmware upgradeable;

computer syncing, alarm, world time, calendar, and calculator;

stylus;

supports English, Russian, Arabic, French, Chinese, Hindi, Turkish, and Portuguese languages;

USB 2.0 high speed; and

3.5 mm headphone output.

I have used this phone for a couple of weeks and I can’t find any major flaws. I find it very fast, intuitive and responsive. Like most of the clones, its speakers will blow out your ears.

Considering this one is usually priced under $175 with prices falling all the time, I suspect this one will also be very appealing to consumers.

This is the phone that started a revolution and it is still the gold standard of iPhone clones. This is really the phone that started it all and the high quality and dependable performance of this phone ensures that this clone is still by far CECT’s best seller.

In case you have seen one of these in person, this phone has everything: the high resolution touch screen with finger touch, the seamless ability to surf the web, watch and video, listen to music and take and manipulate (via finger) high quality photos.

The CECT P168 was the first iClone to introduce dual sim. This means you can have two phone numbers (one for work and one for play) and you don’t have to carry around two phones. You also don’t need to turn the phone off for this feature to work and you can use only one sim if you don’t need this feature.

The CECT P168 further improved the iPhone by adding a removable battery. Apple consumers do not like being chained to the manufacturer every time the battery dies.

Additionally, the P168 added three additional speakers and surround sound. The sound system on this phone is awesome and will blow your ears out.

And, this is just a very high quality, high performance phone. It is solid and built to last. That’s why Popular Science magazine called it “the real deal.” It’s CECT’s bestseller for a reason. It’s innovative, has all of the features you could possibly need, and performs perfectly every time.

The CECT P168 costs between $100 and $120, not to mention the money you will save being free of AT&T service.

This phone is a huge hit with kids, teens, and adults who want the latest technology of the iPhone without having to pay Apple prices for it.

The CECT iPhone clones have taken the world by storm. That’s because CECT has managed to not only very expertly copying the iPhone, but has also made the cloned version of the iPhone better than the original. The CECT line of iPhone clones have improved upon the original by:

1. Unlocking all of the phones. You aren’t stuck with AT&T’s expensive service or with AT&T’s contract. You can use whatever carrier you wish;

2. Adding a removable battery so you don’t have to run to the manufacturer every time the battery dies, which happens a lot;

3. Adding additional speakers, surround, vibrating and 3D sound. The sound system on these phones rock; and

4. Making to phones dual sim. You can have two phone numbers in one phone. You don’t have to turn off the phone to use this feature and you can use one sim if you like. You also don’t need any software for this phone. It’s literally plug and play and it will automatically read any sim card.

The CECT A988 has taken these features a step further by adding the very popular “TV out” feature. This means that you can plug the phone into a TV and watch video that you have taken or recorded on the big screen.

The 988 has further improved upon the iPhone by adding handwriting recognition and making texting easier.

The A988 costs between $100 and $150. Most people are attracted to it because it adds the TV feature to all of the iPhone features and it also has the CECT bonuses like dual sim and removable battery. It is also great for people who text a lot.

There’s no shortage of dual sim shake and tilt iPhone clones on the market and I either own or have tested nearly all of them. Most differ in small ways. Some have a stylus. Some are dual sim. Some have FM radio, but all are pretty inexpensive and come unlocked (many have the slide unlock feature) so that you can use whichever carrier or plan that you chose. This has saved me loads of money on AT&T’s expensive service.

I believe there are two things that contribute to the huge success of the shake and tilt phones.

First, people are starting to realize the difficulty and expense of always having the latest technology. The newest features change so quickly that what was the best and the brightest just last month can look dated today. The iClones let you have the latest phones in the cheapest way possible, so that when you want to move on to the next big thing, you can do so completely guilt free, since you didn’t spend that much money in the first place.

Second, consumers just love being able to change music and media by shaking the phone. At first, users were not so sure about this shake to the music feature. It was even called “quirky” when it first came out, but now people absolutely love it. I find that it’s among the “must haves” on the iClones right now. This technology means you never to have to look down or scroll around. Plus, you just tilt the phone and it goes to wide screen. So, this phone is very user friendly and intuitive.

The CECT A380 is among the best selling dual sim shake and tilt models. It has: a high resolution 3.0 inch finger touch screen; a built in 1.3 mega pixel digital camera; built in Bluetooth; a built in video camera and player; MP3 / MP4 players; and Java 2.0. This phone does not require any software. It can automatically read most GSM sim cards.

Java 2.0 allows all kinds of productivity and gaming possibilities. There are literally thousands of software and gaming downloads available.

The 380 phone is also dual sim which means that you can use two sim slots with one phone. Consumers typically use this feature so that they can have one number for leisure and one for work.

It also has a removable battery, additional surround sound speakers, slide unlock, expandable memory via micro SD memory cards of up to 2GB, and a stylus.

I have not had any problems with this phone. The sound on the speakers is sharp, loud, and typical of CECT. The camera takes surprisingly nice pictures that are easily edited using only my fingers. This phone has come down in price. You can now get it in the $100 range, sometimes lower.

In my opinion, there’s no question that the original CECT P168 (AKA the iPhone clone or iClone) inspired a whole industry of unlocked knock offs which not only convincingly copied the original, but added bonus features that were very popular to consumers, myself included. That’s probably because there are many people like me who love the latest technology but don’t want to pay full price for it.

Some of the Chinese additions that I believe enhanced the original are: two sim slots so that you can have two phone numbers or plans if you want; a removable battery so that you are not dependant on the dealer every time the battery dies; additional surround sound speakers; and the fact that the phones are always unlocked so that you are not stuck with AT&T and can use which ever carrier you wish.

The original P168 is tri band and works on GSMs GPRS 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz. It pretty much allows you to do everything that you can do on an iPhone including surfing the web, sending email, watching or playing MP3s/MP4s, recording voice or video, and enjoying Bluetooth.

Last year, a quad band version was released to include the 850 MHZ frequency so that the phone could be used world wide. The quad band version was sometimes called the P168 plus and added a slide unlock feature. It still had all of the smartphone bells and whistles as well as the bonuses. I have both the tri and quad band versions of this phone and I love them both.

Now, there is a newer 2008 version which has added enhanced editing abilities on the 2.0 mega pixel camera, an e-book reader, and an improved MP3/MP4 and video recorder. I think the e-book reader was a very smart move as more and more publications today are in PDF format.

Interestingly, this latest version is not that much more expensive than the original, averaging about $140 or lower if you know where to look. I predict this price will come down as more become available, and I believe the e-book reader will greatly appeal to our mobile society.
