LG KC910 is the successor of the Viewty, also a touchscreen phone. It is only 14mm thick but has 8-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach and, geo tagging and lots of other features. Video can be captured in VGA resolution at 30fps or in QVGA at up to 120fps for slow motion effect. It is the first LG for the global market with Dolby sound for better music and video sound. For video playback, it features both DivX and XviD and the TV-out allows for previewing on a large screen. It is quad-band GSM with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and WiFi support.

LG today announced their spanking new touch-based handset, the LG KC910, which is actually a successor of the LG KU990 phone. The high-end mobile phone boasts a superior 8MP digicam with autofocus and Xenon flash, GPS navigation with geo-tagging, Schneider-Kreuznach optics, 3inch 262k color LCD display at 240 x 400 resolution, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, XviD/ DivX video playback support, TV out and microSD memory card slot. This Quad-band GSM also comes with 3G with HSDPA support and is able to record VGA videos at 30fps. I think the LG KC910 is a perfect cell phone. However, there is no info on pricing at this time. The phone will be released n October 2008.

Chuck those digital point-and-shoot cameras and pick up an LG KC910 instead! With an 8MP camera, the calling ability of this mobile phone is perhaps just a complement. LG makes no bones about the image-friendly nature of this Viewty successor. It features a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, a xenon flash, VGA video recording at 30fps, high-speed 120fps filming (at QVGA resolution) and an ISO limit of 1600. Like all gadgets of today, the KC910 also incorporates GPS, which serves imaging needs again. You can geo-tag all the locations you have visited during a photographic escapade. A colossus among multimedia phones, this LG product supports Dolby sound for music, as well as DivX and XviD for video. Manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and a digital image stabilizer are some of the other features offered by this phone.

The LG KC910 is also wireless-enabled. It supports quad-band GSM and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. Memory is taken care of by a microSD slot (for storage up to 8GB). The most interesting aspect of the KC910 is its physical dimensions. Contradictory to its loaded interior, the phone measures just 14mm in thickness. Sony Ericsson’s C905 eight-megapixel handset has already upped the ante for camera phone manufactures and rumors of similar camera credentials from rival cellphone manufacturer Motorola have already been doing the rounds of the blogosphere for some time. Joining the ranks of these prestigious cellphone giants is Korean maker LG, who are rumored to be building a camera phone with similar image resolution. Though the news is as yet unconfirmed, rumors suggest that the 8-mp phone, the LG KC910, will sport a Xenon flash, as well as image stabilization and face recognition along with video recording at a resolution of 720 x 480 at 30 fps. And if you thought that was impressive, the phone is also expected to pack in stuff like a toughened WVGA touchscreen along with a “completely new” user interface, all of which be fitted inside a petite, 14mm thick aluminium casing!

LG has arrived with another product – the LG Secret. The stunning features of this cell phone, according to the LG Managing Director, will sell 100,000 units of the model. Now what is so special about the LG Secret that it will bring a huge rush of customers? LG Secret is an ultra slim 5-megapixel camera phone with touchscreen, Google apps and Bluetooth. Perhaps its most attractive feature is the photo and video editing features including Morphing and SmartLight that automatically adjusts camera and light settings. LG Dare available through Verizon online store

It’s finally here! Verizon’s touchscreen cameraphone alternative to the iPhone 3G has landed on Verizon Wireless’ website. As expected, sales of the sleek LG Dare kick off today through Verizon’s online storefront.

The LG Dare boasts some serious hardware to back-up that iPhone-fighting touchscreen. Not only does the LG Dare sport an iPhone-esque proximity sensor, but it also packs a 3.2 megapixel camera (with auto-focus, flash, and face-detection), Bluetooth A2DP, EVDO Rev. A, full-HTML browser, and microSD card slot. Of course, the generous 3-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback is the main attraction for the LG Dare.

While touchscreen lovers looking for immediate gratification through an in-store purchase will have to wait it out until July 3, online shoppers can nab a new LG Dare for $199.99 through Verizon’s website, with 2-year contract of course.

Verizon’s summer blockbuster strategy is markedly different from Sprint’s marketing ploy. While the No. 3 US wireless carrier is aiming squarely at Apple by pushing their successful Samsung Instinct as a cheaper and more feature-packed alternative to the iPhone and iPhone 3G, No. 2 Verizon Wireless looks to be flooding the US market with a range of handsets that they hope will appeal to a wider audience.

Verizon’s already launched the LG Decoy for those that are looking to conveniently obey the new California hands-free cellphone law. They’ve got the LG Dare ready to rock all those touchy-feely cameraphones lovers out there with a full-body touchscreen and 3.2 megapixel camera - a veritable iPhone rival (especially with that proximity sensor). And, they’re cooking up the LG Chocolate 3 for the music-craving masses that want style and substance in their musicphone.

So, with the LG Dare officially live today, Verizon has released some full-on press-shots of the LG Chocolate 3 in all it’s glammed up glory. PhoneArena has a comprehensive review of the LG Secret phone. The LG Secret KF750 is the third name in the Black Label series, after the Chocolate and the Shine. This slim and stylish slider comes equipped with a 5MP digital camera and touch sensitive navigation keys. Here is the verdict.

Since Secret performs average in all aspects and is very uncomfortable to use, because of the capacitive buttons and the slow software, it is far from being our favorite. As a phone, which is supposed to attract attention with its appearance, we give a low grade to the Korean designers. We hope that next time they will avoid combining materials that do not go together. In theory, all its key characteristics sound good, but the reality is different. Even the touch sensitive display is pointless with this software. The only thing Secret does well is recording and visualizing video files, but having in mind all the other drawbacks, we don’t think those features can save its reputation.

LG’s Red, White and Bluetooth giveaway event in pictures; LG HBM-760 headset in words

Freebies always draw large crowds. And so, when I heard that LG was giving away free Bluetooth headsets at the Peterson Automotive Museum, I had to check it out (for the readers, of course).

Seeing as how it’s a slow news day anyway, I hopped in the car and braved the triple-digit temperatures to check out what LG was doing down by the Tar Pits. I made my way through the crowds and lines just in time to see Erik Estrada (Ponch, from CHiPS) wrapping up his little speech about why we should all be using hands-free calling solutions anytime we’re behind the wheel - aside from the new law taking place, Estrada touched on our moral obligation to keep the roads safe for all.

As soon as LG started giving away their new LG HBM-760 Bluetooth headsets, the crowds started to converge on the poor PR folks trying to keep up with all the grabbing and pushing (it sure is nice to have a press pass in those situations). The headset itself is fairly impressive. It sits comfortably on the ear and is almost small enough to wear anywhere without fear of being pointed and laughed at.

The LG HBM-760 isn’t going to wow anyone with its run-of-the-mill feature set, but you wouldn’t expect anything more than basic calling functions on a headset that retails for about $60. But you sure do get decent styling for your money.

Call quality was on par with other mid-rangers, but again, the LG HBM-760 is more about style than substance. If you want more performance and features, you’ll need to move up a couple pricing tiers.

Call time is rated at 6 hours and the LG HBM-760 will standby for 6.26 days.

Well, it’s finally Monday and Verizon Wireless subscribers will finally be able to get their hands on the Matrix-y LG Decoy. The slider comes with an integrated Bluetooth headset, a 2.2” mirror-shine LCD screen with 262K Color TFT and 240 x 320 pixels res, a five-way directional joystick, a super music player, 2.0 mp camera and camcorder, Mobile IM and chat capabilities, one-touch speaker phone and a microSD card memory port that can expand the phone’s memory upto 8GB. The fashionable phone comes in a two-tone finish with a glossy front and a satin back and will be available on Verizon starting today retailing at $179.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
